Adam Monroe : Burns from The Mummy, I made the canopic jar and got the toolkit together… All of my cosplays tend to have as much detail as I can possibly pull off
Leo Nocedo : What are your top 3 craftsmanship tips?
Adam Monroe : Finding bases to work up from for weapon or armor props can help alot GoodWill or other thrift stores are great for alot of prop and/or clothing options Cosplays that use some of the same pieces as others can save time in the building process; boots for one cosplay could work for another, etc

Leo Nocedo : What is your worst cosplay “horror” story?
Adam Monroe : I built a light up lightsaber in my first month of cosplaying only for it to fall apart on the con floor when someone bumped into me…I worked on it for about 2 weeks for it to fall apart half way through the day
Leo Nocedo : What’s your funniest cosplay story?
Adam Monroe : More reactions than story, but when I cosplayed Alexei from Stranger things then people flipped out when they realised who my character was
Leo Nocedo : What’s the best in-character interaction you’ve ever had?
Adam Monroe : A little boy came up to me and said “I saw you in that batman movie” when I was cosplaying Ledger Joker

Adam Monroe : No

Adam Monroe : Goodwill is the main place I’ve found most useful clothing and/or props. Lowes/Home Depot for prop materials Amazon for anything I know I can’t make
Leo Nocedo : Do you prefer to buy pre-styled wigs or style your own?
Adam Monroe : Most wigs I have usually aren’t styled (aside from Joker) so styling my own

Adam Monroe : A couple times, Peter from Deadpool for an entirely unrelated character and Agent Whiskey as Pedro Pascal’s character in Narcos

Adam Monroe : Holiday Matsuri
Leo Nocedo : Do you prefer cosplaying characters with props, or characters that you don’t need to carry a prop around all day?
Adam Monroe : I don’t mind carrying or not I usually have a non-propped character for the last day of the con to relax either way
Leo Nocedo : Have you ever lost a cosplay piece at a con?
Adam Monroe : A small pistol for my Bucky Barnes cosplay
Leo Nocedo : Have you ever bought a cosplay piece at a con?
Adam Monroe : Yes, my Negan bat and several pouches for my bucky and Graves cosplays
Leo Nocedo : Do you prefer to cosplay solo or in a group?
Adam Monroe : I try to cosplay with groups where convenient but usually falls apart the day of or before the con starts (people forget a cosplay or prop usually or their cosplay wasn’t finished)
Leo Nocedo : If you had a chance to meet your all-time favorite cosplayer, what would you say to them?
Adam Monroe : I have, and I told her, her work is fantastic and she never ceases to amaze me with her transformations
Leo Nocedo : Have you ever done a cosplay panel?
Adam Monroe : No, not much for talking in front of a crowd, I did however do a fencing spar at our booth once in Winter Soldier inspired gear I made up.
Leo Nocedo : Do you prefer to buy or make cosplays?
Adam Monroe : I prefer to make my cosplays (not completely from scratch but piecing together things) but I do buy what I know I won’t be able to make or piece together
Leo Nocedo : If you could tell your past self anything about cosplay, what would you say?
Adam Monroe : Build what you can, buy the rest.
Leo Nocedo : What is your ultimate dream cosplay?
Adam Monroe : A completely built armored Jon Snow
Leo Nocedo : What’s the most difficult cosplay you’ve ever done? (Craftsmanship, wearing of, ect)
Adam Monroe : Agent Whiskey making his electro-whip from the final fight of Kingsmen
Leo Nocedo : What’s the most difficult character makeup you’ve done?
Adam Monroe : Ledger Joker’s makeup is messy but still complicated due to the scars having prosthetics and liquid latex
Leo Nocedo : What, in your opinion, makes a cosplayer a “pro” cosplayer?
Adam Monroe : Non-elitist attitude Love for the characters they cosplay Love for the fans that support them The skill to do what they do
Leo Nocedo : What is your favorite part of cosplaying?
Adam Monroe : Seeing friends and family and possibly meeting new friends/family along the way.
Leo Nocedo : Why is/are cosplay/conventions important to you?
Adam Monroe : Cosplay and conventions give me an escape from regular life, 3-5 days of just relaxing as well as seeing my friends and con family and meeting new people.
