Tampa Gets Prehistoric with Jurassic Quest This Weekend!
13SHARESDinosaurs are making their way to Tampa, and they’re bringing a whole lot of prehistoric fun with them. Jurassic Quest, the largest and most realistic dinosaur event in North America, is roaring into the Florida State Fair Expo Hall from Friday, July 18 through Sunday, July 20, 2025.
This is not just a walk-through display. Jurassic Quest offers a fully immersive experience for dino fans of all ages. The exhibit features over 100 life-sized animatronic dinosaurs that move, roar, and recreate what life might have looked like millions of years ago. From the towering Tyrannosaurus rex to the long-necked Apatosaurus, visitors will be surrounded by ancient giants brought back to life with incredible detail.
Jurassic Quest is more than just looking at dinosaurs. It’s designed to be a hands-on adventure. Kids can enjoy interactive science and art activities, fossil digs, inflatable bounce houses, dinosaur-themed rides, and even a chance to meet baby dinosaurs handled by expert “trainers.” There’s also a soft play area dedicated to toddlers, so even the youngest visitors can join in the fun.
The event takes place at the Florida State Fair Expo Hall, located at 4800 US-301, Tampa, FL 33610. Show hours are Friday from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. With a timed-entry ticket system in place, crowd sizes are managed to ensure a smoother and more enjoyable experience for everyone.
Tickets are available now at www.jurassicquest.com, and it’s a good idea to purchase them in advance, especially for Saturday, which is typically the busiest day. Pricing varies depending on the ticket type, and all-day activity wristbands are available for children who want unlimited access to rides and activities.
Whether you’re a lifelong dinosaur lover or just looking for something exciting and educational to do with the family this summer, Jurassic Quest promises a thrilling weekend that’s both fun and unforgettable. Don’t miss your chance to step back in time—right here in Tampa.
