TrippyCon Celebrates One Year of OFF MENU on January 24th
16SHARESOFF MENU?! is hitting its one-year anniversary with TrippyCon on January 24th, 2026 at Tripping Animals Brewing. This monthly comic book club brings Miami creatives together to discuss books, and for the anniversary, the lineup is stacked with high-profile artists and local celebrities.
OFF MENU?! works like this: a book gets selected each month, creatives and an audience read it, then everyone sits down to discuss it together. A guest tattoo artist usually shows up to draw and tattoo original flash based on that month’s book. For the one-year celebration, the format is shifting slightly. Instead of one book, the panel is reading from eight different first issues—new titles, classics, and one unreleased surprise.
Otto von Schirach is joining the panel and headlining with a live performance. The Bermuda Triangle Bass God has been touring and performing for over two decades, and his live shows have a reputation in the breakcore and electronica scene. He’s a Dade County legend.
Billy Corben is on the panel too. He’s an Emmy and Peabody Award-winning documentary filmmaker who co-founded Rakontur, the Miami-based studio known for covering the city’s underbelly and the impact of sports on its culture. He’s been fighting local corruption and is a fixture in the community.
Peter Santa-Maria is the Miami-based Creative Director with MONDO, the pop culture collectibles powerhouse. He got his start working with Skybound, then began collaborating with MONDO on Godzilla print pieces. His work in the collectibles industry has made him one of the most recognized designers in the field.
Sergio Mendez rounds out the panel. He’s been part of the Miami comedy scene for ten years and has become one of the city’s most popular comedic voices. His takes on local culture and the ridiculous things Miami is known for have made him a favorite among local creatives. He recently filmed his first major special at Gramps.
RSVP is free, and there’s a chance to win a collection of books from Drawn & Quarterly. The event runs from 3pm to 10pm at Tripping Animals Brewing.
