The Final SSA+S Toracon is January 31st in Sarasota
14SHARESAfter 15 years, SSA+S Toracon is hosting its final event on Saturday, January 31st, 2026. This anime, gaming, and comic convention runs from 11am to 2pm at the Sarasota School of Arts and Sciences, located at 717 Central Ave in Sarasota, Florida.
Toracon was created by the SSA+S Anime Club as a family-friendly convention for all ages. The event brings together local vendors, artists, dojos, and performers focused on anime, gaming, comics, and sci-fi. Over the past 15 years, it’s become a regular gathering for the local community, and this final convention is meant to celebrate everything the event has built.
The convention will feature main stage events, martial arts demonstrations, a cosplay contest, laser tag, a bounce house playground, Harry Potter wand making, gaming tournaments, panels, an anime viewing room, and a maid cafe. There will be vendors and artists set up throughout the venue, along with food options and a raffle.
Photobooths and frames will be available for attendees who want to capture memories from the final event. The convention has photo galleries from every year going back to 2012 on their website, showing how the event has grown and evolved over the years.
This is the last chance to attend Toracon before it closes for good. The organizers are encouraging anyone who’s been part of the community over the past 15 years to come out for the final celebration. Sarasota School of Arts and Sciences is located at 717 Central Ave in Sarasota.
