Raprager Farm Hosts Immersive WizardFest Starting February 20th
13SHARESIf you’ve ever wanted to attend wizarding school, Raprager Family Farm in Odessa is making that happen. They’re running WizardFest across multiple weekends starting February 20th, and it’s basically an immersive Harry Potter-inspired experience on a working farm. You get classes, creatures, food, activities, and a whole setup where you’re a student at Raprager Farm of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
The festival runs February 20, 21, 22, 27, 28 and March 1st at 16907 Boy Scout Rd in Odessa, Florida. They mentioned they might add more weekends based on demand. Hours are Fridays 4pm to 9pm, Saturdays 8am to 9pm, and Sundays 8am to 7pm. That gives you plenty of time to explore everything they’ve set up.
Tickets come in two levels. The basic “Wuggles” ticket is $17.50 and gets you into standard activities. The Student Wizard Registration is $27.50 and includes a beginner’s wand, standard activities, and certain classes marked with a wizard emoji. Some classes have additional material fees on top of that. Kids two and under get in free but can’t do the paid activities.
The class lineup is honestly pretty impressive for a farm festival. Defense Against the Dark Arts has you using fire casting spells to defend against a Tormentor, which is included with the wizard ticket. Monsters and Creatures class brings you face to face with a full-size dragon prop and teaches you about magical creatures. That’s also included. Potions class costs an extra $10 and you make glow-in-dark slime, though they’re adding other activities as the festival continues. Herbology takes you into their 6,000 square foot greenhouse to learn about plants and their magical properties. You leave with a plant, and that’s $10 for the materials.
The Broom Flying Class is exactly what it sounds like. A 400-foot zipline on a broom. That’s $15, ages 10 and up with a 230-pound weight limit. Divination offers psychic readings for $15 to $30. Magical Crafting class lets you make straw dolls, candles, and other projects for $15. If you buy an official House of Raprager robe, which runs $65 to $95, you get a special Sorting Ceremony where you meet the Head Master.
Standard activities that come with admission include a 17,000 square foot maze called Escape from Dark Wizards where you dodge recruiters trying to turn you to the dark side. There’s an 80-foot bounce pillow, axe throwing, a mechanical bull, a 40-foot hay chute slide off the second story of a barn, snake interactions with their boa Nagini, a corn pit with over 1,000 pounds of corn, and Fort Merlin which is a play fort for kids.
Extra activities you can add on include unicorn rides on their actual horse Daisy for $10, gem mining for $15 where you search for the EverStone, bear stuffing for $27.50, and face painting for $10 to $20.
They’ve got the food situation covered with multiple spots. The Crooked Broom serves BetterBeer, adult drinks, and a full menu. Potters Potions & More has cocktails, brews, and wine. Dragon Fire Cafe does hot fast food you can grab and go. The SweetShop has fudge, ice cream, coffees, roasted nuts, and donuts. Dreamcatchers Desserts does ice cream floats and donuts. There’s also fresh popcorn and Puckers with freshly squeezed lemonade and sno cones.
The Goblin Market is where you buy robes, wands, crystals, and other wizarding supplies. They’ve got registered vendors set up selling everything from snacks to crafts to baked goods. More vendors are being added as they get closer to the event.
Special events happen on specific dates. February 20th has an opening bonfire at dusk. February 21st and 28th feature the Wicked Women Dance Troupe at 3pm and evening, with donations going to Wheelchairs4kids. February 20th and March 1st have the Owls Nest Sanctuary bringing live owls.
Raprager Family Farm is a working farm that does festivals throughout the year. They’ve got pumpkin festivals, Easter events, Christmas celebrations, and this wizarding experience is their latest addition. The farm itself has animals, a greenhouse, multiple buildings, and enough space to create an immersive setup. Tickets are available on their website at rapragerfamilyfarms.com under the WizardFest section.
If you’re looking for a weekend activity that gets you off the couch and into something different, this hits that spot. The combination of farm activities with wizarding world theming is specific enough to draw fans but broad enough that anyone can enjoy it. Plus, being able to grab a drink and do axe throwing while pretending you’re defending against dark wizards sounds like a solid Saturday.
