Hunt for Retro Games and Toys at This Massive Fort Myers Event
19SHARESRemember when you had to blow on a game cartridge to make it work? Or when finding that one action figure you wanted meant actually going to the store and hoping they had it in stock? The SWFL Retro Show is happening on Sunday, February 15, 2026, and if any of that sounds familiar, you’re going to love this.
The show takes over the new Hilton DoubleTree Hotel in Fort Myers from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and more than fifty vendors are bringing their best stuff. We’re not talking about a few tables in a hotel conference room. This is a full room packed with the kind of things you used to beg your parents for at the toy store.
Admission is five bucks. Kids under eleven get in free. Parking is free. Honestly, that’s cheaper than going to see a movie, and you’ll probably have way more fun.
The gaming section alone is worth the trip. Every console generation you can think of is represented. Original Nintendo games, Sega Genesis classics, PlayStation discs that still have their cases, all of it. If you’ve been trying to rebuild your childhood collection or you’re just getting into retro gaming, this is where you want to be. There’s also a dedicated Pokemon section for collectors who know exactly what we mean when we say “retro Pokemon.”
Then there’s the toys. Oh man, the toys. Action figures from every franchise you grew up with, die-cast cars, model kits, plush characters, all the random weird toys that made the eighties and nineties so great. You know that one toy you had as a kid that you wish you never got rid of? There’s a decent chance it’s going to be sitting on one of these tables.
Comic collectors, you’re covered too. Vintage issues, key books, stuff you’ve been searching for online but would rather see in person before buying. There’s something satisfying about flipping through actual longboxes instead of scrolling through listings.
The vinyl selection is solid. Classic rock, soundtracks, albums your parents played until the grooves wore out. Some people stream everything now, but there’s still nothing quite like dropping a needle on a record.
Here’s something interesting: JSA is setting up at the show for grading and authentication. If you’ve got items you want verified or you’re in the market for authenticated pieces, you can get that handled right there instead of mailing stuff off and waiting.
You’ll also find original VHS tapes (some movies just feel wrong in any other format), movie posters, sports cards, wrestling memorabilia, old TV show collectibles, music stuff, vintage advertisements that are genuinely cool to look at now, and a bunch of other things that are hard to categorize but impossible to resist once you see them.
The Hilton DoubleTree at Bell Tower Shop is easy to get to, right off Highway 41 at 13051 Bell Tower Drive. If you’re flying in, it’s about eleven miles from the airport. The hotel itself is nice, so if you want to make a weekend of it, that’s an option.
Whether you know exactly what you’re hunting for or you just like looking at old stuff and talking to people who get it, this show works. You can blow through it in an hour if you’re focused, or you can spend the whole day there. Either way, it’s five dollars well spent.
Bring cash. Bring the kids if you want. Bring a list of what you’re looking for or just wing it. Just show up.
