Jake Estrada has been publishing comic books and running comic conventions for 20 years. This movie is his first comic book character – an archangel called Bocas. This character was based off the likeness of Estrada’s father, who worked with Estrada on the original storyline. The elder Estrada has since passed, and Bocas laid dormant in mourning. Over the years, Bocas would appear in other stories, but never as dark as the original storyline. The premature passing of Estrada’s newborn son rekindled the fire to make Bocas into a feature film. Realizing how short life can be, Estrada set forth making the best and most awesome exploitation film in the history of the genre.
Estrada has self-funded this film from cameras to props. Friends from all over the nation have contributed time and efforts to help him. Estrada also stars as Bocas, still harboring the glimmer of his father’s memory in his dark brown eyes.
If you like exploitation films, Bocas will appeal to your deepest senses. It’ll feature some action, horror and even dancing in the film. Yes, dancing, with over 50 zombie extras. There will be a full-length soundtrack associated with the film featuring music by Brothers of Alien Rock, Jake McGrew, and a few other surprises.
