Leo Nocedo : How did you discover cosplaying?
Cialiegh Dean : When I was younger my older sister used to cosplay different anime charecters. I’ve spent most of my life looking up to her and trying to be just like her. So I started cosplaying as well. Both of us where raised traveling renaissance festivals, though so dressing up and acting a part was nothing new. Leo Nocedo : What was your first cosplay?
Cialiegh Dean : from razen maiden
Leo Nocedo : What are your next 3 cosplay plans?
Cialiegh Dean : Elsa from frozen 2 , ciri from the Witcher and a genderbent aizawa from my hero academia
Leo Nocedo : Have you ever been in a cosplay contest?
Cialiegh Dean : Yes many, from Clearwater comic con to time lord fest
Leo Nocedo : Do you prefer sewing, armor making, or wig working?
Cialiegh Dean : I love sewing. Though it gets frustrating it’s always fun to make an outfit from material and create the charecter you enjoy.
Leo Nocedo : Do you prefer to do photoshoots at cons or at specific locations?
Cialiegh Dean : I like specific locations finding a place that looks like the perfect background for your charecter and bringing that place to life.
Leo Nocedo : Is there a type of character you cosplay frequently?
Cialiegh Dean : I mostly find a charecter I love and try to bring them to life. Recently I’ve been also dabbling with a few ocs

Leo Nocedo : What’s the most detailed cosplay you’ve ever done?
Cialiegh Dean : Currently that would be my Elsa dress as I’m hand sewing all of the jewels onto it
Leo Nocedo : What are your top 3 craftsmanship tips?
Cialiegh Dean : Find something that looks like the outfit or has the bones of the outfit and take that and make it something new. If you get frustrated take a step back do something else and return to it. Never give up If all else fails ask for help. There is never any shame in asking someone to help you.
Leo Nocedo : What is your favorite cosplay you’ve done?
Cialiegh Dean : An oc charecter named minx is my favorite to play because she’s so happy and kind hearted it brings happiness to me and others around her.
Leo Nocedo : What is your worst cosplay “horror” story?
Cialiegh Dean : Lol I call those times Florida cosplay drama. If someone understands they understand.
Leo Nocedo : What’s your funniest cosplay story?
Cialiegh Dean : At dragon con my elder sister and my friends went to a Harry Potter themed party. We where offered some tasty beverages on top of our own and the dj was playing 80s music. The dj began to play safety dance….. and my sister and friend where doing the dance. I literally could not get up off the floor I was laughing so hard. We now go to that party every year just to remember the good times.
Leo Nocedo : What’s the best in-character interaction you’ve ever had?
Cialiegh Dean : My oc minx is always in charecter so any time she’s near people is the best interactions I’ve had
Leo Nocedo : Have you ever cosplayed with a family member?
Cialiegh Dean : Yes my dad cosplays with me all the time. He did the joker with me. And I’m now working on making him a spider nior outfit to go with my Gwen. As he was the one to get me into comics starting with Spider-Man.

Leo Nocedo : Do you prefer cosplaying characters with props, or characters that you don’t need to carry a prop around all day?
Cialiegh Dean : Props make pictures better
Leo Nocedo : Have you ever lost a cosplay piece at a con?
Cialiegh Dean : I loose my belt buckles and jewelry, shoes other things all the time! But psychologist say you leave things at places you love so you have to come back for them. So it must be a good thing.
Leo Nocedo : Have you ever bought a cosplay piece at a con?
Cialiegh Dean : No I tend to buy them or make them elsewhere
Leo Nocedo : Do you prefer to cosplay solo or in a group?
Cialiegh Dean : with friends is fun and I love to go to cons with them and match…. sadly I’ve had to get used to going by myself lately. But it’s still fun to go with a friend or alone.
Leo Nocedo : If you had a chance to meet your all-time favorite cosplayer, what would you say to them?
Cialiegh Dean : I’ve actually met all of them three out of four of them are my friends. Annnndddd the fourth the only thing I’ve been able to say was on accident cuz I didn’t know he was in the room “how do you spell department my brain is fried!!!” It was awkward…. I regret that being what he may remember me for lol.
Leo Nocedo : Have you ever done a cosplay panel?
Cialiegh Dean : Yes I was the president of the Tampa bay steampunk society in like 2016. I did panels with them. As well as pj party panels.
Leo Nocedo : Do you prefer to buy or make cosplays?
Cialiegh Dean : Both? Both works?
Leo Nocedo : If you could tell your past self anything about cosplay, what would you say?
Cialiegh Dean : Your going to have ups and downs life may seem like everyone is against you. But cheer up because life will be great you’ll have great friends you’ll have lots of fun. Also that joker you met at metro years ago jlsbarber…. talk to him ….. become friends with him earlier than you did you won’t regret it lol

Cialiegh Dean : Warframe!!!

Cialiegh Dean : Currently my Elsa dress as it’s the first one I’m fully making from scratch.

Cialiegh Dean : I work with a lot of pro cosplayers and from what I’ve seen it’s their craftsmanship, their follower count, their likability and personality that makes people love them because they love people. And their work ethic.
Leo Nocedo : What is your favorite part of cosplaying?
Cialiegh Dean : Looking at something and saying I want to bring this impossible piece of drawing to life and then doing it.
