The fan-favorite actors to join the Southeast largest fan convention this May
ORLANDO, Fla. (March 22, 2022) – Brendan Fraser, beloved for his role as Rick O’Connell in “The Mummy” trilogy, and Actor Nathan Fillion, known for his leading role of Captain Malcolm “Mal” Reynolds on Firefly are joining the star-studded celebrity guest lineup at MEGACON Orlando this year. Eager fans can look forward to encounters with Fraser on Saturday, May 21, Fillion on Saturday, May 21 and Sunday, May 22 and other celebrity guests, as well as endless programming and entertainment throughout the weekend.
Fraser and Fillion join a lineup of exciting celebrity guests including: a rare reunion of the four hobbits from The Lord of the Rings – Elijah Wood (Frodo), Sean Astin (Samwise), Billy Boyd (Peregrin) and Dominic Monaghan (Meriadoc); Karate Kid’s William Zabka (Johnny Lawrence) and Martin Kove (John Kreese); and Clerks’ Kevin Smith (Silent Bob), Jason Mewes (Jay), Jeff Anderson (Randal Graves), Trevor Fehrman, (Elias Grover) and Brian O’Halloran (Dante Hicks); Trailer Park Boys Robb Wells (Ricky), Mike Smith (Bubbles), John Paul Tremblay (Julian); Star Trek’s Levar Burton (Lt. Commander La Forge) and Brent Spiner; Legends of Tomorrow Jes Macallan (Ava Sharpe) and Caity Lotz (Sara Lance).
Disney fans can meet the voices behind Encanto’s Luisa Madrigal (Jessica Darrow) and Beauty and the Beast’s Belle (Paige O’Hara); as well as Giancarlo Esposito (Moff Gideon) and Katee Sackhoff (Bo-Katan Kryze) from The Mandalorian.
Plus, the four-day weekend will offer exciting programming. Extensive anime programming includes cosplay contests, fan meetups and interactive Q&As with the voices behind legendary anime voices. Gaming enthusiasts can check out themed panels, as well as one of the Southeast’s largest Super Smash Bros. tournaments hosted by United Gaming League, tabletop gaming over 40 Dungeons & Dragons Adventurers League Games, Starfinder Society, Pathfinder Society, Werewolf RPG and more.
MEGACON Orlando is the Southeast’s largest comic, sci-fi, horror, anime and gaming convention, taking place at the Orange County Convention Center.
