New Massive-verse Title—No/One—Sells Out At Distributor Same Day As Release

New Massive-verse Launch No/One Sells Out At Distributor Day Of Release, Fan Fingerprints Found All Over This Hit

Massive-verse mastermind Kyle Higgins (Radiant Black) strikes again—this time with partners-in-crime Brian Buccellato (Chicken Devil, Detective Comics) and Geraldo Borges (Nightwing)—for another breakout hit entry in his burgeoning shared superhero universe with, NO/ONE. The entirety of NO/ONE #1’s inventory was quickly slain earlier this morning—same day as its release—and Image Comics will fast-track the popular new premier back to print this week in order to keep hot on the trail of fan enthusiasm.

The NO/ONE #1, second printing will feature new cover art by Matteo Scalera and colored by Buccellato.

The NO/ONE series features jaw dropping twists and is the first of its kind to feature an original monthly companion podcast titled, WHO IS NO/ONE, starring Rachael Leigh Cook (She’s All That) and Patton Oswalt (Minor Threats, Marvel’s M.O.D.O.K.) as Pittsburgh Ledger reporters Julia Paige and Teddy Barstow. The podcast supplements and expands the comic’s story and provides readers with a more immersive, engaging entertainment experience.

“I’m thrilled and humbled that our unconventional superhero true crime book is finding such an audience right out of the gate,” said Buccellato. “We are so proud of the work we are doing in the comic, in the podcast, and in all the supplemental materials. (Don’t forget to go through the show notes!) Kyle, Geraldo, Mark, Hassan, Alec, Michael and I are pulling out all the stops on our world building and really can’t wait to deliver the rest of our truly immersive NO/ONE experience.”

Higgins added: “With NO/ONE, Brian, Geraldo, Mark, Hassan, Alec, Michael and myself—along with a host of additional talented collaborators behind the scenes—are putting literally everything we have into this series and narrative experience. To say the initial reception has been thrilling would be an understatement. This is a story that Brian and I have been building for years and between our in-universe podcast, in-universe websites and a host of big surprises in the coming months, we can’t wait for readers to experience our take on what a modern, gritty superhero book can be. We invite fans to go even deeper by listening to the podcast, reading the show notes, and exploring all the mysteries surrounding NO/ONE. We’re out to do something much more than just a book—we’re excited to give readers a unique true-crime superhero experience.”

So what’s NO/ONE about? This gritty, true-crime-style mystery follows The Richard Roe murders, which shocked the city of Pittsburgh. In the months since, the killings have sparked a dangerous political movement, copycat killers, and a masked vigilante who’s still determined to hold the powerful accountable. Not a symbol. Not a hero. They could be anyone. They’re NO/ONE.

In addition to co-writing/co-creating the comic, Higgins sits in the director’s chair for the podcast’s production and is flanked by esteemed sound supervisor Matthew E. Taylor (Star Trek: Discovery, Mythic Quest, Barry), C.O.W.L. co-creator and Black Market Narrative editor, Alec Siegel, to sound edit, and Emmy-award winning composer Kristopher Carter (Batman Beyond, Spectacular Spider-Man) to score the audio series. Each episode will showcase an exclusive episode poster by NO/ONE colorist and esteemed poster artist Mark Englert—which are also being released as a line of “podcast variant” covers to tie the two mediums together.

The world of NO/ONE also features an interactive, alternate reality game (ARG) narrative across in-universe social media accounts, websites, and other audio/visual elements (fans should be sure to follow: @000no_one, @TheDropPL, and subscribe to: http://the-drop.info, http://edgenews.info).

NO/ONE is a ten issue comic book maxiseries joining Radiant Black, Rogue Sun, Radiant Red, The Dead Lucky, Radiant Pink, Inferno Girl Red, and C.O.W.L. in the expanding shared Massive-Verse and is perhaps the most unique, creatively boundary-pushing entry yet.
