*Quick review, some spoilers

They are the heroes no one wants. Rejected by all other respectable superhero teams, the rejects band together to fight crime and injustice and maybe get a mention on the evening news! They are formidable, ferocious, fearless, and forgettable.

Superhero teams are a dime a dozen in the world of comics, but what about the heroes who don’t quite fit the mold? That’s where the Rejects come in. This band of misfits has been rejected by all other respectable superhero teams, but that doesn’t stop them from fighting crime and injustice in their own unique way.

Rejects #1, published by Silverline Comics and brought to you by the creative team of Roland Mann, Thomas Florimonte, Haley Martin, and C. Michael Lanning, introduces readers to this unlikely group of heroes. The comic is a fun and irreverent take on the superhero genre, with a cast of characters that includes a sentient plant, a robot, and a woman with the power to turn invisible (but only for a few seconds at a time).

What makes the Rejects so appealing is their underdog status. They may not have the flashy powers or the big budgets of other superhero teams, but they make up for it with their scrappy determination and their willingness to take on any challenge. Whether it’s battling a group of supervillains or rescuing a cat from a tree, the Rejects are always ready to leap into action.

One of the standout elements of Rejects #1 is the artwork by C. Michael Lanning. The characters are all distinct and memorable, with bold lines and vibrant colors. The action is well choreographed and easy to follow, making for a satisfying reading experience.

Overall, Rejects #1 is a fun and entertaining read for anyone who loves superheroes but is tired of the same old tropes. With its charming cast of characters and its irreverent take on the genre, it’s a comic that is sure to leave a lasting impression. The Rejects may be forgettable, but their first adventure is anything but.

For fans of teams such as The Mighty Heroes, and The Great Lakes Avengers!
