Copies of the latest issue of the bestselling, multiple-award winning Saga by Brian K. Vaughan and Fiona Staples have been wiped out completely at the distributor level. Image Comics will rush the issue back to print this week in order to keep up with rapidly escalating reorders.
“We can’t thank readers and retailers enough for your endless support of Saga, and your kind patience while the team dealt with some life stuff during the production of our latest ’season,'” said Vaughan. “If you were surprised by the unexpected character returns in this issue, you’ll be shocked by what we’ve got coming up next.”
Saga has sold 7 million copies to date across single issue, trade paperback, compendium, hardcover, and digital editions and has been translated into 20 languages. The series also boasts multiple Eisner Awards, Harvey Awards, a Hugo Award, British Fantasy Award, Goodreads Choice Award, Shuster Award, Inkwell Award, Ringo Award, and more. It has been featured in such mainstream media outlets as TIME, Entertainment Weekly, The Atlantic, NPR, and more. The series has become a pop culture phenomenon and has been immortalized with references and easter eggs appearing in such popular TV shows as Supernatural, The Big Bang Theory, and The Simpsons.
Saga #66, second printing (Lunar Code 0923IM814) will be available at comic book shops on Wednesday, October 18.
Saga is also available across many digital platforms, including Amazon Kindle, Apple Books, and Google Play.
