When’s the last time you did something purely for fun? Honestly, in today’s world, it feels like we’re all stuck in the same routine—work, home, sleep, and repeat. Where’s that third place where we can just hang out, meet new people, and have a blast? We’re human, not machines, and we need those moments to unwind and connect. That’s why I’m super excited about NetsuCon 2024 in Clermont, Florida on Saturday, October 5th!
This event is all about breaking the cycle of loneliness and boredom, giving us a chance to come together and just enjoy ourselves. And get this—it’s completely FREE to attend! If you want to support the con, you can even volunteer or donate prizes for the events by reaching out through their Contact page. I love how this event is built on community, and that’s something we all need more of these days.
There’s going to be so much going on! We’re talking cosplay karaoke, a Halloweebu Dance Party, a cosplay runway, and workshops like how to create your own cosplay armor. Plus, the artist alley will be packed with local creators showing off their amazing work. It’s from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm at Cooper Memorial Library 2525 Oakley Seaver Dr, Clermont, FL, and I’ve already decided this calls for a road trip.
I’m definitely making a day of it, and if you’ve been feeling the same need to break out of the routine, this is the perfect chance to do something different.
