If you love plants as much as my girlfriend and I do, then PlantCon Orlando is where you need to be. We’ve got our own garden at home, and there’s nothing better than adding new plants, learning new tricks, and swapping stories with people who get it. Whether you’ve got a jungle of houseplants or just want to see what all the hype is about, this is the perfect place to soak it all in.

Talks and Workshops You Won’t Want to Miss

“Growing Holistically” by DocBlock (12:00 PM – 1:00 PM)
Plants do more than just grow—they interact with us in ways we don’t even realize. This session dives into how plants engage all five senses (and maybe even the sixth).

“Endemic Carnivorous Plants” by Kenny Coogan (1:15 PM – 2:15 PM)
Florida has more native carnivorous plant species than any other state. These little guys use scents, sticky traps, and even water pits to catch their food. If you’re into weird and fascinating plants, this one’s for you.

“Ambassador Game Show” (2:30 PM – 4:00 PM)
Ever seen plant influencers go head-to-head in a battle of plant facts and myths? This interactive game show is all about fun, competition, and audience participation.

“Ethos and Environment” by Kossi Techenawou (4:15 PM – 5:15 PM)
Taking care of plants isn’t just about watering and sunlight—it’s a reflection of how we take care of ourselves. Kossi breaks down the connection between greenery, habits, and mindset.

Get Your Hands Dirty with DIY Workshops

From crafting a seashell decoupage tray with Emily Auffrey to sculpting a DIY jade bonsai with Jonathan Rindner, these workshops give you the chance to create something unique. There’s even a native seed bomb workshop with Raven Petca that teaches how to bring greenery back to barren spaces. Some workshops require signups and fees, so get there early!

Why PlantCon Orlando?

For me and my girlfriend, gardening isn’t just a hobby—it’s a way to slow down, learn, and build something together. Events like this are the best way to meet other plant lovers, pick up new ideas, and bring home something special for our own little green oasis. Whether you’re here to shop, learn, or just be surrounded by people who love plants as much as you do, PlantCon Orlando is the perfect place to dig in.
