Magic the Gathering and More Await at CoolStuffCon Orlando

CoolStuffCon Orlando is right around the corner, and it’s going to be an unforgettable weekend full of Magic: The Gathering, cosplay, content creators, and nonstop energy. This three-day, family-friendly event runs from April 18 to 20, 2025, and the best part is that admission is completely free. Hosted at the Hyatt Regency Orlando, right in the heart of International Drive, CoolStuffCon turns the spotlight on all things tabletop, with a huge focus on Magic: The Gathering and its passionate, ever-growing community. Whether you’re a long-time Planeswalker or just MTG-curious, this is the place to be.

I’ll definitely be there, so if you’re planning to stop by, come say hi. I’m planning to soak in every second of the MTG Regional Championship Qualifiers, where top players from all over will be battling it out for glory, prizes, and those coveted invites to the Regional Championship. Matches start Friday at 10:30 AM, Saturday at 11:00 AM, and Sunday at 10:00 AM, and the competition is going to be fierce. There are serious prizes on the line, too. First and second place winners will earn $300 in store credit, an invite to Regionals, and a foil promo card. Third and fourth place score $100 in credit and a non-foil promo, while fifth through eighth walk away with $50 and a non-foil promo. Even ninth through sixteenth get non-foil promos and 240 prize tickets, which is super cool.

But CoolStuffCon is so much more than tournaments. This event is packed with artists, cosplayers, and some of the coolest content creators in the game right now. I’m especially excited to meet Chris Rogers, Jason Engle, Chris Seaman, and Kieran Yanner, whose art I’ve admired for years. There will also be fan-favorite creators like MTGNerdGirl, GirlPodMTG, CovertGoBlue, The Magic Highness, and Tulok the Barbrarian bringing their A-game to panels, meetups, and live content. And the cosplay? Get ready for Mistystep, ZBexx, and Van Quigg Cosplay to completely blow everyone away with their looks and stage presence.

The show is happening in the Plaza International Ballroom D through H on the Convention Level of the Hyatt Regency Orlando. The venue is seriously perfect. It’s modern, huge, and surrounded by great food, fun attractions, and everything else I love about being in Orlando. Hours are Friday from 10 AM to 9 PM, Saturday from 9 AM to 9 PM, and Sunday from 9 AM to 6 PM. That’s a full weekend to play, shop, chat, compete, and just totally geek out.

There’s also exclusive merchandise, MagiKids events, and tons of awesome photo ops throughout the convention. Whether you’re going hard in a tournament, picking up something special from an artist’s booth, or getting a selfie with your favorite streamer, there’s a little bit of magic waiting around every corner.

So if you’re anywhere near Orlando or just looking for an excuse to make a trip, CoolStuffCon is calling. Pack your cards, charge your phone, and bring your love for the game. This con is going to be something special, and I cannot wait to experience it all with you.
