Gerald Hammill Reflects on Tampa’s Indie Rock Days

Back in February 2020, I had the chance to interview songwriter and guitarist Gerald Hammill. If you were part of the Tampa/St. Pete music scene in the late ’80s or ’90s, his name might ring a bell. Gerald was active in several local bands, including The Catherine Wheel (US), ICU, Edison Shine, and Spacious International. Later on, he made the move to Brooklyn, NY, where he kept the music going with acts like Burnside Project and his current project, 178 Product.
