The Curse of Sherlee Johnson #1 Sells Out on Release Day – Second Printing Announced

The Curse of Sherlee Johnson #1 sold out at the distributor level on its release day, and honestly, it’s easy to see why. With Garth Ennis writing and Becky Cloonan on art, this debut was bound to turn heads. Demand was high right out of the gate, and now Image Comics is already prepping a second printing.

If you didn’t manage to grab a copy, don’t worry—the reprint is on the way and scheduled to hit shops on Wednesday, June 18. Even better, it’ll feature a brand-new cover by Jonathan Glapion, making it a nice pick-up for readers and collectors alike.

The issue itself delivers exactly what you’d expect from a creative team of this caliber. Ennis brings his signature edge to the writing, while Cloonan’s art is bold, moody, and totally captivating. It’s a strong first chapter with a tone that’s dark, grounded, and just mysterious enough to hook you.

If you’re hoping to track down a first print, it’s worth checking in with your local comic shop soon—some may still have a few copies left on the shelves. Either way, this series is off to a strong start, and I’m definitely looking forward to what comes next.
