Murder and Espionage Collide in No Man’s Land from Image Comics This September

This fall, Image Comics is turning up the tension with No Man’s Land, a chilling new four-issue limited series from writer and artist Szymon Kudrański. Known for his work on Something Epic and Blood Commandment, Kudrański is back with a tightly wound thriller set during one of the most volatile periods in modern history—the Cold War.

The story unfolds in 1963 on the Diomede Islands, two small land masses in the Bering Strait that sit just 2.4 miles apart. One is part of Alaska, the other belongs to Russia. For a few weeks each year, an ice bridge naturally forms between them—a fragile connection between two superpowers locked in political and ideological opposition. This icy link becomes the scene of an international crisis when a young woman’s body is discovered right on the border.

With tensions already high between Washington and Moscow, both governments are desperate for answers. An American FBI agent and a Soviet KGB operative are reluctantly forced to work together to solve the murder before the ice melts—and before the two nations come to blows. As secrets surface and the pressure builds, No Man’s Land becomes a race against time with global consequences.

Kudrański is handling both the writing and the artwork through his One Man Art imprint, giving the series a singular, cinematic style. Image Comics describes the tone as a mix of True Detective, Whiteout, and Insomnia, promising a gripping combination of mystery, atmosphere, and psychological intensity.

No Man’s Land #1 lands in comic shops and on digital platforms on Wednesday, September 17, 2025. Retailers have until Monday, August 19 to finalize orders, so make sure to get your pull list in early.

Friends know me as the go-to guy for everything from crushing guitar riffs to the most bone-chilling horror flicks, and my enthusiasm is contagious. Whether I’m headbanging to the latest metal release or dissecting the creepiest storylines, I’m all in. And, yeah, I’ve got a soft spot for anime too when the mood strikes!
