OtakuFest Holiday Special is happening this Saturday, December 13th at the Charles F. Dodge City Center in Pembroke Pines and I’m literally so excited. Noon to 8 PM, which gives me enough time to hit every vendor table and actually finish my holiday shopping.
Over 60 vendors with figures, manga, art prints, clothes, and the cutest stuff. Artist Alley is going to destroy my wallet but I don’t even care—original art, stickers, prints, handmade jewelry. Way better than ordering random stuff online.
Voice actors are coming and I’m dying. Patrick Pedraza (Scaramouche from Genshin), Kira Buckland (Kuki Shinobu), Joel McDonald (One Piece, MHA), Arryn Zech (RWBY), plus the MHA Vigilantes cast. I already know which panels I’m camping for.
Gaming tournaments for Smash Bros, Street Fighter 6, and Tekken 8 with actual prize money. Panels all day—JSJViolin performing anime soundtracks live, K-Pop dances, anime Jeopardy, Disney trivia, so much interactive stuff.
Costume contest at 7 PM and I’m entering. Holiday cosplay or regular, just walk the runway. Registration at the Cosplay Info Booth. Ugly sweater contest at 3:30 if that’s more your thing.
Substitute Santa photo ops all day with holiday anime cosplayers—Power from Chainsaw Man, Santa Miku, Christmas Miruko, Santa Luffy. They rotate every 30 minutes.
Second floor has crafting stations for kandi bracelets and ornaments plus free gaming.
OtakuFest Holiday Special is at 601 City Center Way in Pembroke Pines with free parking. Tickets are available on the website. Bring cash, wear comfy shoes, eat before you go. See you there!
