The End League Complete Collection is Coming in March

Rick Remender’s The End League is finally getting collected in its entirety. Image Comics is bringing the whole series back in one trade paperback this March, and if you missed it the first time around in 2008, this is your chance.

The premise is straightforward and brutal. The villains won. Decades ago, the world didn’t end with some apocalyptic event—it ended with a takeover. Civilization got reshaped into a broken landscape run by tyrants, cults, and monsters wearing familiar masks. The few remaining heroes have one last shot: cross a villain-dominated Earth to find the Hammer of Thor, the last artifact that might turn things around.

Remender calls it his first superhero story and his first hit series. He’s said it became the DNA for a lot of his later Marvel work, which makes sense when you read it. This is the kind of story you can’t tell in a corporate universe because there’s no reset button. The stakes are permanent. The world is genuinely broken, and there’s no guarantee the heroes can fix it.

The series asks what super-humans would actually mean for a regular planet. What happens when an all-powerful being makes even a small mistake? What do average people do once they’re handed impossible power? It’s not pretty, and that’s the point. The rot overwhelms the noble. The good guys are outnumbered and outmatched, left with one desperate plan that might not work.

Eric Canete, Mat Broome, and Andy Macdonald handled the art, and the complete collection is getting a new cover by Canete with colors by Matt Wilson. If you’re into Remender’s Uncanny X-Force run, this is essential reading. It’s got that same mix of superhero mythology and genuine consequences.

The trade hits comic shops on March 11, 2026, and bookstores on April 7. You can grab it at your local shop, independent bookstores, Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Books-a-Million, Indigo, Waterstones, or digitally through Kindle, Apple Books, and Google Play.

This is the end of the modern myth. A true finale where the world doesn’t bounce back and the heroes don’t get a do-over. Just a handful of people with good intentions trying to prove they can stand against a world of corruption. That’s The End League.
