Dust to Dust Graphic Novel Arrives May 27

JG Jones and Phil Bram deliver Dust to Dust, a standalone graphic novel hitting comic shops May 27, 2026 and bookstores June 23 from Image Comics. Jones handles both co-writing and interior art duties.

Oklahoma panhandle during the Great Depression. Apocalyptic dust storms swallow the landscape. Serial killer stalks the broken town of New Hope leaving bodies scattered through the grime. Sheriff Meadows, haunted by his past, teams with Sarah, a relentless photojournalist, to hunt a ghost-like murderer.

The crime noir blends Yellowstone atmosphere with Cormac McCarthy’s Blood Meridian intensity. Hitchcockian elements drive the historical thriller set against America’s Dust Bowl era.

Eric Stephenson, Publisher and Chief Creative Officer at Image Comics, called the work top-flight storytelling from a comics master. Readers familiar with Jones from Y: The Last Man covers or Wanted should prepare for something different showcasing his full creative range.

Graphic Policy praised the debut as hauntingly sad and beautiful, naming it one of the year’s standout releases. Monkeys Fighting Robots called it a brilliant, stunning opening and faithful recreation of one of America’s most desperate periods.

Jones previously worked on Wanted and provided iconic cover art for multiple series. Dust to Dust marks a departure into full interior art combined with co-writing, demonstrating expanded creative capabilities beyond cover work.

Trade paperback collects the complete story available at comic shops, bookstores, and digitally through Amazon Kindle, Apple Books, and Google Play.
