Brett Bean’s D’orc sold out at distributor level again. Image Comics rushes issue one back to print for the fifth time on May 13, 2026. Issue two receives third printing May 6.
Half dwarf, half orc orphan D’orc carries nothing but a wisecracking enchanted shield and a desperate need for friendship. He stumbles into Sunderaine’s never-ending war between Light and Dark, Elves and Orcs, Wizards and Common Sense, Dragons and everyone else.
D’orc stands dead-center in the conflict, wholly inconvenient to a doomsday prophecy destined to end the world. Every human, elf, goblin, dwarf, Snargletooth, Necroid, Ice Giant, Trauma Llama, and at least three unpronounceable magical creatures will learn his name. His enemies will too.
Bean previously worked on Dungeon Crawler Carl: Crocodile and I Hate Fairyland. The series combines deadpan humor with fantasy adventure targeting fans of Conan the Barbarian and The Lord of the Rings.
Issue 3 sits available now at comic shops with covers from Bean and Mirka Andolfo. Issue 4 arrives May 13 featuring Bean and Skottie Young covers. Issue 5 hits shelves June 10 with Bean and Daniel Warren Johnson covers.
Digital editions release across Amazon Kindle, Apple Books, and Google Play for readers preferring electronic formats.
