Hammerfist #1 has landed another knockout.
The debut issue of the new ongoing series from writer Rick Remender and artist Steve Epting has sold out again at the distributor level, prompting Image Comics to send the issue back to print for a third time.
The series introduces Mike Denton, a hitman, drug addict and absentee father who has spent most of his life making one bad decision after another. The one person who still sees something worth saving in him is his daughter, and she’s about to become the reason Mike finally has to stand for something besides himself.
That becomes considerably more complicated with the approach of Black Noon, an ancient darkness capable of wiping away the light in everything. Mike must pull himself out of the gutter, awaken a supernatural weapon powered by love and somehow fight his way through a living embodiment of evil to save his daughter.
The result is a story that starts in hard-boiled crime territory before crashing headfirst into supernatural horror, bloodshed and some seriously strange places.
Readers have apparently been enjoying the ride. The first printing disappeared at the distributor level shortly after its August debut, leading to a second printing that arrived September 23. Now that demand has continued, a third printing is on the way.
Hammerfist #1 Third Printing will arrive at comic shops on Wednesday, October 21, 2026.

With the debut issue already burning through multiple printings, Hammerfist is proving that Mike Denton’s bloody trip toward redemption has found an audience.
