Who Needs to Grow Up When There’s Melbourne Toy and Comic Con?

Who says you have to grow up and stop playing with toys?

Certainly not the folks behind Melbourne Toy and Comic Con.

On Sunday, October 11, 2026, the Melbourne Auditorium will be filled with comic books, action figures, collectibles, costumed characters, and people who still appreciate a good Saturday morning cartoon, even if it’s technically Sunday.

And there’s plenty to do besides spend money.

Think you know more about superheroes, science fiction, and pop culture than your friends? Put that knowledge to the test during geek trivia. Have a costume you’ve been working on? The convention’s costume contest gives kids and adults a chance to show off their creations.

Pokémon collectors can get some trading done, while gamers can head over to the open gaming room presented by Get Your Fun On. There are also cosplay discussions, a celebrity guest Q&A, and a Kids’ Zone for younger visitors.

Of course, the dealers will be there too, with comic books, toys, action figures, artwork, and all sorts of collectibles. You might even find something that has been missing from your collection for years.

One thing that’s always entertaining about comic conventions is seeing what people show up wearing. Spider-Man might be talking to Darth Vader, a Ghostbuster could be standing in line for lunch, and somebody dressed as a character you haven’t thought about in thirty years might walk right past you.

That’s part of what makes these events entertaining. Nobody thinks twice about it.

Melbourne Toy and Comic Con takes place Sunday, October 11, 2026, from 10 AM to 5 PM at the Melbourne Auditorium, 625 E. Hibiscus Boulevard, Melbourne, Florida 32901.

Admission is $10, parking is free, and children under 10 are admitted free.

So go ahead and wear that superhero shirt, bring along the family, and spend a Sunday doing something a little different.

After all, nobody said comic books and action figures were only for kids.
