I was never on board before, so reading this issue and not knowing each character’s history or relationships, and not understanding most of the lingo they use, made for a pretty boring read.

Heartbeat is an absolutely beautiful book, but I think it’s a bit of a shame when the art is a comic’s strongest seller. The story has tons of promise, but I’m left with so many questions that I’m not even sure what’s going on.
The story and ideas behind it shine, but the comic loses some of that luster in the details.
Part super hero comic, part sci-fi story, and part detective thriller, Far Sector may be the most excited I’ve been for a DC title all year long.
