Fall of the School for Good and Evil is a masterful addition to the series, both heartbreaking and mesmerizing; despite knowing the ending, the how is what catches the reader off guard.

I love Jane Eyre, the classic is one of my favorites, right next to Wuthering Heights, so when I saw this, I had to have it. After reading it, I’m a little angry at myself for letting it sit on my shelf for many years.
Definitely a genre jump for Kyrie McCauleys, whose previous works (If These Wings Could Fly & We Can Be Heroes) were more contemporary and focused on magical realism to tell emotional stories, All the Dead Lie Down does not pale in comparison.
Kingfisher does it again with A House with Good Bones, using their gift for masterful storytelling to creep out the reader and make them laugh simultaneously.
