Family owned and operated since 1995 by the Huber family, BrightLight Books is a different kind of bookstore. We offer 7,000 square feet of new and used books, videos, and music. Our stores are the sort of places you can lose yourself in but at the same time find exactly what you’re looking for. We’re well organized, clean and bright and our staff are knowledgeable and friendly.
Our selection is extensive, currently more than 200,000 items. We stock books on all subjects from Apologetics to Zoology, videos from Action to Westerns, plus every genre of music on CD and vinyl. We also have an impressive collectible selection and one of the largest theological collections in the country.

We sell both used & new, collectible & out-of-print, and other forms of media (DVDs, CDs, Vinyl, etc.). With two retail locations and a warehouse in Jacksonville, Florida, we have estimated we have upwards of a few million books (the majority of which are not inventoried). Our goal is to give readers access to whatever might interest them, and the ability to find it naturally- outside of the neatly curated box stores and online marketplaces.

EXILE Books is an experimental artist’s bookstore and project space which recently moved to the Little Haiti neighborhood of Miami. We produce publications and site-specific events such as exhibitions, performances, lectures, fairs, and workshops in order to advance circulation and engagement with artist’s publications. EXILE seeks to establish a pervasive print culture in Miami by creating hubs for independent publishing that represent and serve our diverse community.

Among the shelves of used books, Fat Cat Books is inhabited by adoptable adult cats. All the kitties come from Feline Advocates of Leon County, a Tallahassee-operating non-profit.
The kitties are spayed or neutered and have been tested for FIV and FELV. They have received their microchip, are up to date on their rabies vaccinations and are free from parasites.
We do not discriminate with our kitties, we love them all; short hair, long hair, big or small. We also love our special needs kitties (such as Finn); every one of them deserves a chance at a loving home.
