Bradenton Area Collectorfest 2026 is happening Sunday, March 1st from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM at 600 US-41 in Palmetto, Florida. This one-day show features over 7,000 square feet of toys, games, comics, die-cast, and collectibles. Early bird tickets are $15 for entry from 9:00 AM to noon, afternoon tickets are $10 for entry after noon. Kids under 12 get free Hot Wheels or Pokémon cards. Parking is free.
Panda Fest Orlando is happening February 27-March 1, 2026 at Festival Park, 2911 E Robinson St in Orlando. This outdoor Asian food festival features 80+ Asian food vendors, over 200 Asian street food options, 20+ merchandise vendors, and cultural performances. Early bird tickets are $10, general admission is $14, and VIP is $35. Friday runs 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM, Saturday goes 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM, and Sunday wraps up 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
SwampCon 2026: Return to the Sea is happening Saturday, February 28th and Sunday, March 1st at the J. Wayne Reitz Union on the University of Florida campus in Gainesville, and it’s completely free! You just register online and enjoy two days of panels, guests, vendors, artist alley, contests, and a maid cafe. Guest lineup includes Azazus, El Nerdy Senpai, Goblin Market, Dom Gold, Sailor Geek, and Sir Spirit Cosplay. Registration is open now through Eventbrite at swampcon.org.
Sometimes a comic just hits differently. D’orc dropped from Image Comics and immediately sold out. The second printing? Nearly 25,000 orders. That’s not normal for a new series, and it’s got people comparing it to launches like Saga, The Department of Truth, and Stray Dogs. Brett Bean created this half-dwarf, half-orc character who’s supposedly fated to destroy the world, but he’s just trying to make friends. He’s got a magic shield that won’t shut up and a ghost chicken with its head cut off as companions. The book mixes high fantasy with deadpan humor and serious violence, and readers are connecting with it hard.
