Leo Nocedo : How did you discover cosplaying?

Leo Nocedo : What was your first cosplay?
Cody Alikzandr Shealey : Tobi from Naruto Shippuden
Leo Nocedo : What are your next 3 cosplay plans?
Cody Alikzandr Shealey : 2009 Jason Voorhees, Pyramid Head, and Jason Todd.

Leo Nocedo : Do you prefer sewing, armor making, or wig working?
Cody Alikzandr Shealey : None of the above, I really enjoy aging and distressing clothing though.
Leo Nocedo : Do you prefer to do photoshoots at cons or at specific locations?
Cody Alikzandr Shealey : Both. Cons are great because it makes you feel almost like a celebrity and a location shoot is just enjoyable, especially with friends.
Leo Nocedo : Is there a type of character you cosplay frequently?
Cody Alikzandr Shealey : It would have to be Jason Voorhees, I have at least 4 different cosplay for him.
Leo Nocedo : Do you have any favorite cosplayers?
Cody Alikzandr Shealey : Matthew Scott Kimple is fantastic.

Cody Alikzandr Shealey : I don’t really do many complicated costumes.
Leo Nocedo : What are your top 3 craftsmanship tips?
Cody Alikzandr Shealey : Practice, practice, practice. You are always learning.
Leo Nocedo : What is your favorite cosplay you’ve done?
Cody Alikzandr Shealey : So it’s not a cosplay that I was dressed in, but it is one that I made. My brother was going as a Walker from The Walking Dead and I made the entire costume and makeup. It is still the cosplay I am proudest of.
Leo Nocedo : What is your worst cosplay “horror” story?
Cody Alikzandr Shealey : I thankfully haven’t had anything horrible happen.
Leo Nocedo : What’s your funniest cosplay story?
Cody Alikzandr Shealey : I was dressed as Jason one year and practically every photo I was asked to choke someone and like REALLY joke someone.
Leo Nocedo : What’s the best in-character interaction you’ve ever had?
Cody Alikzandr Shealey : I was dressed as Spider-Man and a woman and her son came up to me. The son was autistic and loved Spider-Man. So that was a nice experience.
Leo Nocedo : Have you ever cosplayed with a family member?
Cody Alikzandr Shealey : Yes, practically every year. My brother, my mom.
Leo Nocedo : What is your favorite cosplay photo of yourself?
Cody Alikzandr Shealey : Captain America, I look fantastic and it’s how I met my girlfriend
Leo Nocedo : What are your go-to stores for cosplay materials/full cosplays?
Cody Alikzandr Shealey : I usually go to the thrift store, because I usual do horror cosplays. Otherwise I have no preference for full costumes.
Leo Nocedo : Do you prefer to buy pre-styled wigs or style your own?
Cody Alikzandr Shealey : Pre-Styled definitely.
Leo Nocedo :Have you ever had someone mistake you for a different character?
Cody Alikzandr Shealey : No but I am sure its coming.
Leo Nocedo : List all the cosplays you have done.
Cody Alikzandr Shealey : Tobi, Spider-Man, Jason Voorhees, Slenderman, Jack The Ripper, Obi-Wan Kenobi.
Leo Nocedo :What’s the biggest con you’ve cosplayed at?
Cody Alikzandr Shealey : MegaCon
Leo Nocedo : Do you prefer cosplaying characters with props, or characters that you don’t need to carry a prop around all day?
Cody Alikzandr Shealey : I love props, it helps tell a characters story, so the more the merrier.
Leo Nocedo : Have you ever lost a cosplay piece at a con?
Cody Alikzandr Shealey : Thankfully no.
Leo Nocedo : Have you ever bought a cosplay piece at a con?
Cody Alikzandr Shealey : Probably too many times.
Leo Nocedo : : Do you prefer to cosplay solo or in a group?
Cody Alikzandr Shealey : Group cosplay is so much more fun.
Leo Nocedo : If you had a chance to meet your all-time favorite cosplayer, what would you say to them?
Cody Alikzandr Shealey : Hi Matt! We have met before haha
Leo Nocedo :Have you ever done a cosplay panel?
Cody Alikzandr Shealey : Nope, would love to.
Leo Nocedo : Do you prefer to buy or make cosplays?
Cody Alikzandr Shealey : Both, it depends on the costume. For example, Captain America was a purchased cosplay because that would be a pain to make.
Leo Nocedo : If you could tell your past self anything about cosplay, what would you say?
Cody Alikzandr Shealey : Just Do It! I was kinda self conscious about it
Leo Nocedo : What is your ultimate dream cosplay?
Cody Alikzandr Shealey : Kinda lame but just a film accurate Jason Voorhees 2009 cosplay. I am a simple man with simple needs haha.
Leo Nocedo : What’s the most difficult cosplay you’ve ever done? (Craftsmanship, wearing of, ect)
Cody Alikzandr Shealey : Probably Captain America. The costume was uncomfortable and hot to wear:
Leo Nocedo : What’s the most difficult character makeup you’ve done?
Cody Alikzandr Shealey : I would say the Walker makeup I did on my brother. The face was all ripped up, teeth exposed.
Leo Nocedo : What, in your opinion, makes a cosplayer a “pro” cosplayer?
Cody Alikzandr Shealey : I think being paid, like in the most literal sense.
Leo Nocedo : What is your favorite part of cosplaying? Making friends in the community.
Leo Nocedo : How good is your sewing skills?
Cody Alikzandr Shealey : Garbage haha, I am surprised some the cosplay doesn’t just fall apart.
