Convention Update

WasabiCon 2020 Cancellation

At WasabiCon, we always use the phrase “Fandom is Family” when referring to how we feel about our attendees, guests, and vendors every year. This is especially true during these trying times that we are all experiencing. After discussing options with our partners at the Prime Osborn Convention Center, we have decided to delay WasabiCon until next year. Green Mustard Entertainment would like to extend our sincerest appreciation to JaxEvents and the team at the POCC for their flexibility and help for making this happen. The health and safety of any and everyone who is a part of WasabiCon is of the utmost importance to us, and we cannot in good conscience host our annual gathering when doing so could potentially threaten their health and wellbeing.

WasabiCon 2021 will take place October 16-17, 2021 at the Prime F. Osborn III Convention Center in Jacksonville, Florida.

So what’s next?

ARTISTS AND VENDORS

Since both of these areas were sold out for 2020, we are offering the option to forward your exhibitor space to the new dates in 2021. If this is not something that you feel is financially feasible for you at this time, we are more than happy to offer a refund. All refund requests must be received no later than August 31, 2020. At that point any remaining artists/vendors will be automatically forwarded to 2021. Information for processing refunds will be sent directly via Eventbrite next week.

ATTENDEES

Attendees who purchased tickets have two options to choose from.

  • FORWARD TO 2021. If you’ve already purchased your badge for WasabiCon 2020 and are willing to roll it into next year, this will help us keep WasabiCon’s operation sustainable during these unprecedented times and come back better than ever in 2021. If you’d like to pursue this option, you don’t have to do a thing. Your 2020 badge will automatically convert to 2021. Additionally, as a thank you, we will ship you a WasabiCon Online badge along with our new WasabiCon Online (2020) pin, a random bonus pin, and a decal to show our appreciation this fall.
  • REFUND. If you would like a refund for your badge, you will need to let us know before August 31, 2020. Information for processing refunds will be sent directly via Eventbrite next week.
