Get Ready for a Monster-Sized Kaya Special This November

Big news for fans of Wes Craig’s Kaya—and honestly, for anyone who loves comics that explode with creativity. This November, Image Comics is rolling out something truly special: the Colossal Kaya Special. This extra-length, stand-alone one-shot is bringing together an impressive lineup of guest artists to help reimagine Kaya’s world in ways we’ve never seen before.

For this event, Wes Craig is teaming up with some of the most exciting names in comics today. Nathan Fox, James Harren, Mike Huddleston, Declan Shalvey, and Ryan Stegman are all lending their talents, each adding their own distinct style to the mix. On top of that, Jim Mahfood is delivering both a wraparound cover and a gorgeous centerfold that could be worth the price of admission on its own.

The beauty of this special is that it works for everyone—whether you’ve been following Kaya since the beginning or you’ve never picked up an issue before. Longtime readers will get to see familiar characters through fresh artistic interpretations, while newcomers will find it easy to dive in thanks to a six-page introduction that brings you right up to speed.

The Colossal Kaya Special arrives in comic book shops on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, and will also be available digitally through Amazon Kindle, Apple Books, and Google Play. One important thing to note: there are no plans to collect this issue into a trade paperback, so if you want it for your collection, you’ll need to grab it while it’s on shelves.

Between the stellar lineup of talent, the expanded format, and its welcoming approach to new readers, this special feels like a celebration of everything that makes Kaya great. It’s bold, imaginative, and promises to be a visual feast from cover to cover.
