Screenwriter Michael Schwartz (Zombie Town, Gnome Alone) makes his comics debut alongside rising artist Ismael Hernandez in Armored, which recently had their first five issues become available in hardcover via a successful Kickstarter. The series is described this way: “Orphaned teen Andy’s parents disappeared mysteriously. Now, he’s just been adopted by a quaint family living in the countryside. What could go wrong?” We discuss who the characters are, how this book came to be, and what we can expect from him in the coming months.
