Beyond Comicon Returns to North Miami Beach

Beyond Comicon is happening Saturday, February 28, 2026 from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the Marjorie & William McDonald Center, 17051 NE 19 Avenue, North Miami Beach, FL 33162. Tickets are only $5 and available through Eventbrite.

This is North Miami Beach’s comic, fashion, and creator convention focused on independent creators. You can meet comic book artists, fashion designers, filmmakers, and authors who are actively creating content. The guest list is available on their website, and it’s a mix of established indie creators and up-and-coming talent.

Panels cover topics related to creating, publishing, and building a career as an independent artist. Previous panels have covered everything from comic creation to fashion design to self-publishing.

Cosplay is encouraged. There’s a cosplay contest you can sign up for, and attendees are welcome to come dressed as their favorite characters.

Vendors include indie fashion designers, authors, filmmakers, and people exhibiting their brands. This isn’t rows of mass-produced merchandise. You’re finding unique items and talking directly with the people who made them.

The Marjorie & William McDonald Center is in North Miami Beach off NE 19th Avenue, accessible from major highways. North Miami Beach is between Miami and Fort Lauderdale, making it reachable from different parts of South Florida.

Five-dollar admission makes this one of the most accessible conventions around. Most comic cons charge twenty to fifty bucks just to walk in the door. Beyond Comicon keeps pricing low to remove barriers for families and younger attendees.

Beyond Comicon positions itself as a movement to inspire future creators rather than just another fan convention. Saturday, February 28, 2026 at the Marjorie & William McDonald Center in North Miami Beach. Tickets are $5 through Eventbrite.

Born and raised in the city of Miami. Lifelong pro wrestling fan. Been deep in the 'zine scene since ’84, interviewing locals, Hardcore, Punk, and Metal bands. Spent 26 years in the comic book biz and still obsessed with all things pop culture—Mego, Micronauts, Shogun Warriors, Die-Cast Metal Super Robots, you name it. I can go on about comic books and bad movies all day.
