Cat & Mouse Returns After 36 Years

Thirty-six years after Cat & Mouse first appeared, the independent superhero series is getting a new chapter.

Silverline Comics has announced a new Cat & Mouse mini-series from co-creator and writer Roland Mann, with artwork by Dean Zachary and Barb Kaalberg and colors by Kevin Gallegly. The creative team has worked together before, dating back to their Malibu Comics days, making this project something of a reunion.

The new story returns readers to New Orleans, where Cat and Mouse become involved in the search for the missing sister of one of Cat’s former girlfriends. What begins as a missing persons case leads to a human trafficking operation, with a supporting cast that includes a demon and a ninja familiar to longtime readers.

Originally launched in 1990, Cat & Mouse has remained one of the longer-running creator-owned superhero titles in independent comics. The new mini-series arrives as the book marks its 36th anniversary.

Cat & Mouse #1 is scheduled to ship from Silverline Comics in October 2026 and appears in Philbo Distribution’s July solicitation catalog.
