Trading cards are taking over Tampa on Saturday, September 12, when Charlie’s TCG Con sets up at the Egypt Shrine Center for a full day of collecting and pop culture.
The event runs from 10 AM to 4 PM at 5017 E. Washington St., Tampa, FL 33619. Admission is $3, with kids 12 and under getting in free, and parking is also free.
The show has a little more going on than the name might suggest. Along with TCG cards and sports cards, the vendor lineup includes Funko Pops, comics, anime items, 3D art and other collectibles. Cosplay is also part of the event, adding some extra pop culture flavor to the day.
For card collectors, it’s a chance to spend a Saturday digging through tables and seeing what dealers have brought to Tampa. For everyone else, the mix of comics, anime, collectibles and fandom-related items gives the show plenty of variety.
