TFcon Orlando Is More Than Meets the Eye

There’s a pretty big difference between owning a Transformers toy and getting to meet the person who actually gave that character its voice.

At TFcon Orlando, fans will have the chance to do both.

Taking place October 23–25, 2026, at the DoubleTree by Hilton Orlando Theme Park Resort, TFcon brings together voice actors, comic book creators, artists, and collectors for a weekend dedicated entirely to the Transformers universe.

This year’s convention has two major milestones to celebrate: the 40th anniversary of The Transformers: The Movie and the 30th anniversary of Beast Wars.

For fans of the original animated series, Gregg Berger, the voice of Grimlock, will be among the guests. David Mendenhall, who voiced Daniel Witwicky in the 1986 movie, is also scheduled to attend.

The Beast Wars cast will be well represented, with David Kaye, Garry Chalk, and Venus Terzo appearing at the convention. Their performances as Megatron, Optimus Primal, and Blackarachnia helped introduce an entirely different generation to Transformers.

Other announced voice actors include Darius McCrary, Sumalee Montano, and Tania Gunadi, whose work connects the convention to the live-action films and Transformers Prime.

And then there’s the music.

Stan Bush and Vince DiCola will be appearing at TFcon Orlando, giving fans an opportunity to meet two musicians whose contributions to the 1986 animated movie became an unforgettable part of Transformers history.

If hearing “The Touch” doesn’t immediately make you picture Optimus Prime charging into battle, you might need to watch that movie again.

The comic book side of Transformers is getting plenty of attention as well.

Bob Budiansky, whose work helped establish the identities and personalities of many original Transformers characters, will be joined by artists Alex Milne, Andrew Griffith, Casey Coller, Josh Perez, Livio Ramondelli, and Mark Watts, the artist responsible for memorable Generation 1 toy packaging illustrations.

Their work represents decades of Transformers storytelling, from the original Marvel Comics series to more recent interpretations of Cybertron’s ongoing conflicts.

Collectors will also have access to an exhibitor room featuring Transformers merchandise, figures, and convention exclusives. Panels, cosplay, and trading card gaming are among the other planned activities.

TFcon Orlando takes place Friday, October 23, through Sunday, October 25, 2026, at the DoubleTree by Hilton Orlando Theme Park Resort in Orlando, Florida.

For longtime Transformers fans, there’s something particularly interesting about seeing so many different generations of the franchise represented at one event.

The toys have changed. The animation has changed. Even the characters have been reinvented more than a few times.

But forty years after the original animated movie, people are still talking about Optimus Prime, Megatron, Grimlock, and the rest of the Cybertronian crew.

And TFcon Orlando is giving those fans an opportunity to meet some of the people responsible for making those characters unforgettable.
