Lance Archer bet on himself when he signed with AEW and hasn’t looked back since. Lance talks about his journey to AEW, his first-time meeting Tony Khan, the backyard vignettes he filmed at Darby Allin’s house with Jake “The Snake” Roberts that first introduced him to AEW fans, his in-ring debut at the Nightmare Factory during the pandemic lockdown, and his matches against Marko Stunt, Rey Fenix and Miro.
“I can already feel the blood coming down. I look up, and here’s Jake The Snake standing over me. And he says, ‘You shouldn’t have messed with my boy.’ And then just steps over me and proceeds to go to the ring.”
“I had to book private sessions in a closed down wrestling school during a pandemic, and Canada is very high restriction level, so I’m trying to manage that and have a training partner who will keep a secret.”
“We’re outside and it’s almost 100 degrees sometimes. They’re light and they look nice, and I can’t believe I never added those to my wardrobe before this, but now I have like 30 of them.”
