SiestaCon 2026 is bringing comics, collectibles, cosplay, gaming, and celebrity guests to Sarasota this weekend for a full day of geek culture fun at Robarts Arena. Taking place on Saturday, May 9, the convention continues to grow as one of the Suncoast’s biggest pop culture events.
Fans heading to the show can expect a packed convention floor filled with comic books, toys, collectibles, artwork, trading cards, gaming vendors, and exhibitors from around Florida. Along with shopping and vendors, the event is also planning cosplay, panels, workshops, and family-friendly activities throughout the day.
Gaming and trading card tournaments are expected to be a major part of the convention, with events featuring games like Magic The Gathering and Pokémon Trading Card Game. Fans looking to compete, trade, or simply meet other players should have plenty to check out during the show.
The current guest lineup already includes some major names from comics and anime. Comic fans can meet Donny Cates and Ryan Stegman, while anime fans can look forward to appearances from voice actors Lisa Ortiz and John Gremillion.
Collectors will also have a chance to bring in some of their favorite items for grading. CGC is scheduled to attend the event and will be accepting submissions for comics, trading cards, video games, magazines, and home video collectibles onsite during the convention.
Presented by The Dark Side Comics & Games in partnership with Ringling College of Art and Design and CGC, SiestaCon 2026 looks like a fun stop for comic fans, gamers, collectors, cosplayers, and families looking to spend the weekend surrounded by pop culture and geek fandom.
