Just when readers thought they knew where the story was heading, Radiant Black threw another curveball.
According to Image Comics, issue #42 has sold out at the distributor level and is already heading back to print. The sellout follows a surprise character return that quickly became one of the most talked-about moments in the series.
Created by Kyle Higgins and Marcelo Costa, Radiant Black has become one of the flagship titles of the Massive-Verse, blending superhero action, science fiction, and long-running character development into a series that has built a dedicated fanbase over the years.
Without getting into spoiler territory, the surprise return in issue #42 clearly caught readers’ attention. The reaction was immediate, and the issue quickly sold through its initial print run.
What makes the accomplishment even more impressive is that the series is now more than forty issues into its run. Many comics see readership decline over time, but Radiant Black continues to keep fans invested while attracting new readers along the way.
If you missed out on the first printing, the upcoming reprint will give readers another chance to pick up the issue and find out why so many people have been talking about it.
