Silverline Comics Celebrates Realm Award Nomination for Kayless

Fans of indie comics and science fiction have a reason to celebrate as Silverline Comics announced that Kayless has officially been named a semi-finalist for a 2026 Realm Award.

Created by Brent Larson with artwork by Luis Czernowski and colors by Leandro Huergo, Kayless has been building a strong following with readers who enjoy science fiction mixed with mystery, action, and deeper themes. The Realm Awards recognize faith-based creative works across fantasy, science fiction, supernatural, horror, and related genres, making this nomination a major accomplishment for the creative team.

The comic follows Scott Anders, a CIA astronaut who mysteriously vanished in 1967 before unexpectedly returning to Earth years later. As he struggles to understand where his new powers came from and why dangerous forces are now hunting him, the story blends classic sci-fi ideas with suspense and emotional weight.

According to Larson, entering the awards was a simple decision after hearing about them from a friend, but becoming a semi-finalist was an exciting surprise for the entire team. Larson also praised artist Luis Czernowski’s work on the series, saying the artist continues to push the comic to another level with every issue.

Roland Mann, CEO and Editor-In-Chief of Silverline Comics, also shared his excitement over the recognition, explaining that while the company does not create comics for awards, it is always rewarding to see the hard work of creators acknowledged.

The nomination is another strong moment for independent comics, especially creator-driven projects finding audiences through crowdfunding and direct fan support. With new issues already in development and more readers discovering the series, Kayless continues building momentum as one of Silverline’s standout sci-fi titles.
