The Last Driver #2 Speeds Straight Into a Second Printing

The Last Driver #2 apparently has no intention of slowing down.

The second issue of Sean Gordon Murphy’s high-speed series has sold out completely at the distributor level, following the strong demand for the debut issue and sending Image Comics back to the printer for another run.

And this second printing is getting a pretty fun makeover.

The new edition will feature cover art inspired by classic Nintendo game cartridges, with colorist Simon Gough taking the wheel for the design. Murphy even teased that another sellout could lead to a Back to the Future-inspired cover down the road.

Inside the issue, things aren’t going particularly well for Clutch and Cuda. After destroying their ride while escaping the eCops, the pair find themselves stuck on foot as Cuda’s health continues to deteriorate.

As if that wasn’t enough trouble, Kowalski decides to make things even worse by bringing someone from Clutch’s past back into the picture: Firebird.

Readers who missed the issue the first time around will get another shot when The Last Driver #2 Second Printing arrives at comic shops on Wednesday, October 28, 2026.

The story keeps moving before then, with The Last Driver #3 arriving October 21. That issue will feature covers by Sean Gordon Murphy and Mark Chiarello.

Future issues are already lined up as well, with issue #4 scheduled for November 25 and issue #5 following December 30.

With another issue selling through at the distributor level, The Last Driver seems to be living up to its name. This series isn’t hitting the brakes anytime soon.
